My name is Katie Louise Parker and I am a BA Honours Photographic Media student. I am currently working as the lead photographer within the creative Agency at Blackburn Youth Zone, creating promotional/documentation material and tutoring young children basic photography skills. My main area of interest within photography is documentation, events, portraits and editorial. From a young age, I have always been fascinated by cameras so when I had the chance to use them whilst studying Art at GCSE Level at St Wilfrids High School, Blackburn, I thrived from it. My teacher told me I had a good eye for composition and this led on to me studying photography at Blackburn College. I had amazing 2 years of finding my feet in photography and also worked for the chance to travel to Cape Town, South Africa, with 6 other students. This was an experience of a life time as we were able to exhibit our own work at the Cape Town University and also meet other young students. I spent my first year of university at Blackpool University but then left to rejoin Blackburn University on the second year. I have recently finished my BA Honours Photographic Media degree with a 2:1 and setting up my own wedding and events photography and videography called JK Studios.
